This weekend we were treated with some amazing view of the moon. I don’t know how many of you had a chance to see the supermoon. According to Huff Post Science website, “What is a “supermoon,” exactly? It’s the name used to describe a full or new moon that occurs when the moon is nearest the earth in its elliptical orbit around our planet.” Basically the moon was over 16,000 miles closer to earth than it has been this year. For many people they were able to have an obscured view of the moon. I was fortunate enough to capture some amazing pictures of the moon. I started out my adventure at 7:00 pm and drove out with my two kids and their two friends into the desert or should I say further into the desert because Yuma, where I live is nestled in the mountains in the desert. Here are some pictures of the sunset before we chased down the moon.
At approximately 8:20pm we were treated to some amazing sight of the moon.
